DELBENE RECEIVES POPULATION CONNECTION ENDORSEMENT

From Population Connection Action Fund:
Population Connection Action Fund, the political arm of Population Connection and America’s population movement, announced today its endorsement of Suzan DelBene (D-WA) for reelection to the U.S. House of Representatives. Rep. DelBene, a leader in the struggle for women’s reproductive rights, earned a 100 percent score on the Action Fund’s 2015-2016 Congressional Report Card.
“Population Connection Action Fund is proud to endorse Rep. DelBene for reelection to the U.S. House of Representatives,” said John Seager, president of Population Connection Action Fund. “She has been a voice for expanding women’s reproductive rights and she has stood strong in the face of opposition by fanatics.”

Rep. DelBene has used her vote and her voice in the House of Representatives to support women’s rights to reproductive health and services. She has helped fight to strengthen and expand family planning and reproductive health programs around the world. She has worked to prevent the imposition of the Global Gag Rule that undermines those crucial services. She has opposed efforts to deny health care to millions of women who rely on Planned Parenthood clinics and to allow bosses to restrict the reproductive health choice of their employees.
“I firmly believe that medical decisions should be made between a woman and her doctor, and not by politicians. The recent assault on women’s health care is unacceptable and I will fight against any attempt to reduce access to birth control or reproductive health services,” Rep. DelBene has stated.
