Outdoor Industry Association (OIA) and OIAPAC are proud to endorse Representative Suzan DelBene for reelection to the U.S. House of Representatives for Washington’s 1st Congressional District.
Congresswoman DelBene has been a champion for the outdoor recreation industry through her support of OIA’s balanced trade agenda and by supporting our public lands. She has taken a stand to support OIA’s premier piece of trade legislation, the U.S. OUTDOOR Act, and has been a champion for public lands through her support of the Land and Water Conservation Fund as well as wildfire defense funding legislation.
“Congresswoman DelBene has been a leader and champion for the outdoor recreation economy for Washington’s 1st District and across the United States,” said Amy Roberts, executive director of OIA. “She has taken a stand to fund and provide access to our public lands, while also making sure they’re protected for future generations to enjoy. We look forward to continuing to work with her.”
Environment America, a federation of 29 state environmental groups, today announced its endorsement of 56 candidates who are running for the 115th United States Congress. These 45 House candidates and 11 Senate candidates hail from a total of 19 states. These endorsements are in addition to Environment America’s 2015 endorsement of Hillary Clinton for President.
Through their voting records and expressed advocacy in support of Environment America’s key issues — including global warming, open space, clean air, clean water and clean energy — these candidates have earned both our trust and endorsement.
